2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang

The 23rd Winter Olympics Games will take place in Pyeongchang, South Korea on 9-25 February 2018. The competition program will include 15 sports: figure skating, speed skating, short track speed skating, Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, freestyle skiing, Nordic combined, ski jumping, snowboarding, bobsleigh, skeleton, biathlon, curling, ice hockey and luge.

The PyeongChang silver is Darya Domracheva's fifth Olympic medal. Apart from her three gold medals won in Sochi in 2014, she also has bronze of Vancouver 2010. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Darya Domracheva on her vice-champion title.

The Belarusian athlete finished in 7:04:41 in the longest Olympic speed skating distance for women. The Olympic debutant has certainly made some progress in Pyeongchang: she was 11th in the 3,000m speed skating and was disqualified after the 1,500m event.

Clean-shooting Hanna Oeberg clocked 41:07.2 to claim the champion title. Anastasiya Kuzmina of Slovakia finished second, 24.7 back, with two penalties. Bronze went to Germany's Laura Dahlmeier, 41.2 seconds, one penalty.
